Angela Chang saddens by rumours of "incontinence"
6 May - Taiwanese singer Angela Chang couldn't help but express helplessness over people making things up after her agency revealed that she suffered from acute gastroenteritis.
As reported on Mingpao, the issue sparked recently, after her studio shared a photo of Angela in hospital following her performance in China, assuring that she is fine after going to the doctors.
However, some netizen had since made up rumours about the singer, saying that he could smell something bad sitting on the front row during her performance, hinting that Angela had an "accident" while performing.
Fans were quick to defend the singer, saying that the front rows were far away from the stage. Her lawyer also issued a statement, saying that the allegation was false and constituted a slander.
On the other hand, Angela, who was saddened over being made the butt of a joke, stated, "It is a pity that there has been false news during the holidays. I feel both sad and helpless. But I am also determined to speak out at this moment. I hope that nothing like this will happen again in the future."
