Angel Locsin reveals why she does teleserye now

16 Jan – Angel Locsin recently admitted that it was her previous commitment to superhero movie, "Darna" that caused her to stop doing television dramas for a while before her recent comeback.

As reported on PEP, the actress, who returns with a new drama, "The General's Daughter" recently, shared that she actually agreed not to accept any television series when she got involved in the superhero project under director Erik Matti a few years earlier.

"We had an agreement with ABS that I would not accept another project [while doing Darna]. Although I could [appear as guest on shows and movies], I wasn't allowed to do a teleserye," she said.

Locsin said that she understood the rules since doing both "Darna" and a television series would have been physically demanding on her.

However, the actress is now free to continue with her television career now that it has been five years and that she is no longer a part of the project following her spinal injury.

Loscin had since been replaced by Liza Soberano, while Erik Matti has already withdrawn from the project, which has been handed to "Heneral Luna" director, Jerrold Tarog.
