Ang Lee seen having bak kut teh in Malaysia

16 Nov – The owner of a Bak Kut Teh restaurant in Malaysia was elated to have Oscar-winning director Ang Lee visiting his joint last fortnight.

In a recent Facebook post, the owner of E Pin Bak Kut Teh in Johor Bahru shared a couple of photos of Ang and his team at his restaurant, saying that he was very excited to see the "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" filmmaker.

He added that he wanted to give Ang a treat, but that the director insisted on paying himself.

No information has been given as to why Ang was in Johor Bahru, though there were rumours that the filmmaker is set to direct a martial arts movie and may have been in Malaysia to scout for locations for the new film.

If this is true, this will be the second time Ang films his movie in Malaysia after previously shooting "Lust, Caution" in Penang and Ipoh, Perak back in 2006.
