24 Jan – It's been nearly two years, but Lav Diaz's 2016 movie, "Ang Babaeng Humayo" is still attracting the attention of international awards.

As reported on ABS-CBN, the movie, which marks the comeback of actress Charo Santos-Concio, was revealed to have bagged three nominations at the upcoming 15th International Cinephile Society, including Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Foreign Language Film.

Santos' co-star John Lloyd Cruz has also been nominated for Best Supporting Actor.

Released in September 2016, "Ang Babaeng Humayo" stars Santos as a woman who - after spending 30 years in prison for a crime she did not commit - finds that everything has changed except the power and privilege of the rich.

Co-starring Nonie Buencamino, Michaell de Mesa, and Kakai Bautista, it previously won the Golden Lion prize at the Venice Film Festival.

The winners will be revealed on 4 February.
