Andy Lau jokes about his horse-riding accident

24 Nov – Andy Lau recently made his appearance at the Christmas In the Air lighting ceremony held in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who had taken a six months break following the horse-riding accident he had in January, joked about the fact that he once appeared at the Christmas event on a horse back in the year 2000.

Said Andy, "If they wanted me to come here riding a horse, I would have said no. But going down the stairs here felt like I was riding one."

He also admitted that he was supposed to have a concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum at this time, but that it had to be cancelled because of his injuries. His slot was instead taken by Miriam Yeung.

"Since I had free time, I decided to attend some public events. I want to show you that I am fully recovered," he said.

When asked about his Christmas wish, Andy said that he still wants to perform at the Hong Kong Coliseum, and hopes that he will be able to do it next Christmas.
