Amy Juliet almost gives up on acting

27 Oct – Actress Amy Juliet revealed that she has once almost gave up on her acting dreams after having to go through various challenges and a dark episode in her life.
"I started as an extra. However, when I was trying my luck in the industry, I was tested with various challenges when I was often rejected to be involved in several dramas after attending the auditions held by the production companies," she said.
"What was more shocking was I received a call from someone who offered me a role but it came with a hidden agenda, until I wanted to just forget about my hopes in acting," the actress told Harian Metro.
Amy said that her luck turned, however, when she was given the chance to lead an RTM drama a couple of years back.
Her most recent work, "Rock Bro!", directed by Mamat Khalid, has just opened in cinemas nationwide today (27 October).
In the third instalment of the "Rock" trilogy, Amy gets to portray Ella, the real-life queen of rock in Malaysia.
Amy stars in the movie alongside Khir Rahman, Pekin Ibrahim, Soffi Jikan, Datuk Hattan and more.
