‘American Horror Story’ First Look: Season 6 Imagery Leaves Fans With More Questions Than Answers

“American Horror Story” released teasers for Season 6 of the hit anthology series on Wednesday, but fans are still anxiously waiting to find out what the much-anticipated theme is.

A distinct “?” imagery — such as in the smoke coming out of a chimney and in the mobile for a “Rosemary’s Baby”-esque crib — can be seen throughout the teasers, which were published on Snapchat.

But the question mark also speaks to the fact that the full cast and theme for the upcoming season have not yet been announced, which is making for an unusually late timeframe for the FX series.

Confirmed cast members who will be returning include Lady Gaga, Cheyenne Jackson, Finn Wittrock, Wes Bentley, Angela Bassett, Denis O’Hare, Kathy Bates and Matt Bomer. Though Sarah Paulson hasn’t officially been confirmed, Bassett revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that her character would be working in some capacity with Paulson’s character.

Season 6 premiere of “American Horror Story” officially airs on Sept. 14 on FX.
