While Kate Middleton was attending a gala at the National Portrait Gallery, back at Buckingham Palace, Amal Clooney was serving princess vibes at a formal dinner hosted by Prince Charles.
The impeccably stylish human rights attorney looked glam in a flowing white gown with intricate draping detail and an asymmetrical cape sleeve on her right arm. If you look closely at her left arm, tucked behind husband George Clooney, there seems to be metallic beading on her left sleeve. To complete the ensemble, she toted metallic box clutch and wore diamond earrings.
She was seen shaking hands with Prince Charles, who was hosting the reception for his youth charity, The Prince's Trust. The organization often works with celebrity ambassadors, like Tom Hardy and Idris Elba, to help raise awareness for its work.

Although the Clooneys presence at Buckingham Palace may be as a surprise, their connections to royalty are deeper than you'd expect. First, they're close with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (who were unfortunately missing from today's dinner); they attended the couple's wedding last May and reportedly hosted them their home on Lake Como last summer.
Last month, Amal was seen in New York City for Meghan's much buzzed-about baby shower with close friends. The high-profile lawyer wore a bright red jumpsuit by Sergio Hudson with gold Gianvito Rossi pumps, despite the dreary, snowy weather.
