Alice Chan didn't think boyfriend would pop the question
24 Nov – Alice Chan recently admitted that she is still on cloud nine after announcing her engagement to boyfriend Dr Aldous Chan.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who made her first appearance since sharing about her engagement on social media, stated that she hasn't slept well since then, as she has been too busy replying to congratulatory words from family and friends.
"I didn't expect him to propose because I was afraid I would be disappointed. So, when he did, I was moved to tears. In my mind, my boyfriend only knows how to save people and heal patients. I never thought that he would be able to have such a great proposal," she said.
Asked about their wedding preparations, Alice said that she is not sure if they would even hold a banquet.
"It's too sudden. I haven't thought of it," she said.
This will be Alice's second marriage, following her divorce in 2012. The actress was married Taiwanese businessman James Yen in 2008 and faded out from the acting scene for several years before she made her comeback in 2012. It was only five years later that she finally admitted to have been divorced from her husband for five years.
