Ali Lee learns that she has been written off drama from the news
23 Mar – TVB actress Ali Lee recently admitted that she had no idea that she was being written off the sequel of her 2019 hit drama, "Big White Duel".
As reported on HK01, the actress who spoke to the media in TVB City for the taping of "Cantopop at 50", stated that she only found out about her exclusion from the rumoured sequel from the news.
"There are a lot of changes going on right now, so I don't really know. I have to wait for the notice from the company," she said.
When mentioned that her character Kennis' fate is unknown in the original drama, Ali said that there is a possibility for the character to have died, and that the screenwriter even said that it would have been a good ending.
"So if there is no Kennis in the sequel, I think it's fine," she added.
However, despite already being written off from her other dramas like "Baby On Top" and "Legal Mavericks 2", Ali refused to believe in the notion that she has been frozen by the company.
"I am in TVB today. Is that considered being frozen? I don't know. I don't want to speculate too much. I will just focus on what is given to me right now," she added.
Ali stated that she will be focusing on writing her first book for now, and will wait for TVB to arrange her other work.
It was previously rumoured that Ali has been forced to go on hiatus by the company after she was accused of being a supporter of the Hong Kong independent movement.
