Ali Lee denies TVB arranged for her to win TV Queen
22 Oct – TVB actress Ali Lee has recently dismissed rumours that she is postponing her wedding to nowTV host Danny Chan in exchange for winning TV Queen award at the upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who spoke to the media about the rumours recently, lightheartedly said, "First of all, I don't even know that I am getting married or that TVB is giving me an award."
"No one knows who will win the award except for TVB, and the award itself could not be traded. Otherwise, it will have no value," she added.
Ali stressed that she wouldn't want to accept an award that she does not deserve.
When mentioned that her colleague Alice Chan has already regarded her the best contender for the award, the actress responded, "She is very kind. I also like her character in "Deep in the Realm of Conscience"."
"I will be very happy if I won, but I will not think too much about it," she said.
