The pair recently worked together on epic disaster flick ‘San Andreas’, where they played father and daughter. She’ll play lifeguard Summer, who will be the love interest to Zac Efron’s chiselled lifesaver.

Daddario has appeared in a number of high profile films over the past few years as a major player in the ‘Percy Jackson’ franchise, as well as a smaller part in last year’s ‘True Detective’ opposite Woody Harrelson.

The actress was apparently picked ahead of Ashley Benson (’Spring Breakers’), Nina Dobrev (’The Vampire Diaries’), and Alexandra Shipp (’X-Men: Apocalypse’) for the sought-after role.

‘Horrible Bosses’ director Seth Gordon is directing the project that’s been in development for some time now, and promises to be a healthy mix of comedy and drama, as well as the iconic swimwear made famous by none other than The Hoff.
