Alex Fong doesn't want to rush into marriage
8 May - It's been a year since he announced his relationship with Maple Yip, but Alex Fong has yet to discuss marriage in all seriousness with his 30-year-old girlfriend.
As reported on Mingpao, the 44-year-old actor-singer, who sat down for an interview recently, stated that there is still much to talk about before they can go to the next stage.
"We haven't looked into it carefully yet. It's already very complicated listening to friends talking about whether or not to have a baby and all that... When it comes to marriage, I am very realistic. I think I will let nature takes its course," he said.
Alex said that he is the kind of man who wants to get married only once in his life, and use his parents as an example of a happy and long-lasting couple.
"When you get to my age, getting married shouldn't be an impulsive thing. You have to be more sensible. Although I am not young anymore at 44... you shouldn't be too hasty in a relationship," he said.
Alex confirmed his romance with Maple, who was one of the victims who spoke up against the Korean cult leader Jung Myung-seok, in March last year. The actor had since been one of Maple's biggest supporters as she went to Korea to testify against Jung.
