We love a good snack, and when we can score some that are affordable, all the better. Trader Joe’s is known for some delicious and cheap snacking options, which is why it’s so devastating when the grocery chain discontinues the ones we love the most.

Aldi seems to know just what we mean, as this grocery chain has a snack we’ve been missing terribly from Trader Joe’s. Word on the cyber streets: this version may be just as good, if not better.

Aldi’s Southern Grove Coconut Cashews

Any true snacker who loved the coconut cashews at Trader Joe’s feels the loss of this beloved item. On a Reddit thread, several users expressed their disappointment that this snack had been discontinued with some explaining how the coconut cashews were their favorite while others said how much they loved them and we’re sad to see them go. One user said they were even planning to take “a trip across town” to search for them at another Trader Joe’s store before realizing the nuts were no longer available at any location.

However, all is not lost. Aldi has its Southern Grove Coconut Cashews that will surely feed that nutty craving. The cashews are roasted to perfection and then topped with sweet coconut flakes for a flavorful mouthful. To sweeten the deal even more, a bag of these cashews is only $5.99.

We’re not the only ones on board with Aldi’s cashews either. The snack is already becoming quite a hit within the online community. On another Reddit thread, users weighed in on Aldi’s coconut cashews, saying they are “delicious” and a “favorite snack” while being easy to eat a “whole bag in a sitting.”

Aldi has been known to have some seriously tasty snacks. Between the Fried Pickle Ranch Wavy Potato Chips and Mini Pepperoni Pizza Cones, you can’t go wrong, and now the Southern Grove Coconut Cashews are just another to add to the already extensive must-try list.
