Aka Chio denies she is getting married
17 Jan – Hong Kong singer Aka Chio recently apologised for causing a misunderstanding with a recent photo of her hugging a mystery man that she published on social media.
As reported on Mingpao, fans of the Super Girls member recently flooded the comment section of Aka's post with congratulatory wishes, after thinking she was announcing her marriage on Instagram with the photo that she captioned, "Tomorrow. The announcement."
Speaking to the media at a radio event, Aka stated that she was only trying to promote her new solo single, "Are You Listening?" with the said photo.
"I was taking the subway when I shared that. I didn't want to write too much, so I just share those [words]. I never thought that people would misunderstand it to be a marriage announcement," she said.
Aka also stressed that she is still single and is not getting married in the near future.
On the other hand, the singer admitted that she was nervous about releasing the said song, but was happy when she received encouragement from her senior and idol, Joey Yung.
"She said that I sang well. She really encouraged me," said Aka.
