Aisyah Hijanah files for divorce from Alif Teega
3 Sep - Nearly two months after they were remanded by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), it was revealed that businesswoman and social media influencer Aisyah Hijanah has filed for divorce from husband Alif Teega.
The 26-year-old confirmed the news recently, saying that the filing was made last month, adding, "Please pray for me. This is a heavy test that I have to go through."
However, she declined to elaborate on the decision to end the marriage, though stressed that it was her own decision and that she was not influenced by anybody else.
"I made the decision myself to end the marriage. It wasn't caused by any third party," she added.
The divorce filing was made at the Shariah Lower Court in East Gombak, Ampang.
Aisyah and Alif, who tied the knot in 2017, have three children together.
Prior to this, the couple sparked rumours of marital woe after Alif, real name Mohd Hazalif, decided to marry for the second time with a woman named Fatin Umaidah in Thailand.
While the couple seemed to have sorted out their issues at the time, they were remanded in July by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to assist in the investigation after they were accused of misappropriating public donation funds.
