Aeril Zafrel may take legal action following slanderous article
24 Feb - Aeril Zafrel recently stressed that he will take legal action against an entertainment portal for writing false news about him and his wife.
The actor, real name Suhairil Sunari, previously shared a screenshot on his social media of an article posted by the portal, in which it alleged that a famous couple had cut their staff's salary. They then proceeded to use an image of Aeril and wife Wawa Zainal as the cover photo.
Angered by it, he wrote, "Where did you get the info? I even gave [the staff] bonus last year. This statement is mad!"
He later revealed that the portal had deleted the article, saying that removing the said article will not settle the issue.
Speaking to the media about the article, Aeril stated that he considered it a slander, especially since he and Wawa have taken good care of their staff's welfare.
"I have asked my lawyer to send a letter of demand to them since the caption and the photo can be constituted as defamation," he said.
