Adrian Wong's mother has leukaemia
13 Jun – Hong Kong actress Adrian Wong, who previously stated that her mother, Leung Kit Wah was hospitalised because of scurvy, recently admitted that Leung is suffering from leukaemia.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress finally revealed the truth after being asked about Leung's recent re-admission to the hospital.
"She was undergoing chemotherapy and has recently completed the last course of treatment," said the daughter of TV actor, Felix Wong.
Adrian also assured that her mother is currently in good spirits and has no need to undergo a bone marrow transplant.
"She will be discharged very soon and will get to celebrate Father's Day with all of us," she added.
In regards to rumours saying that Leung's physical appearance has changed due to her treatment, Adrian said, "There is no such thing. My mum wants me to clarify. She is not getting thinner, but gained a little bit of weight. My colleagues are planning to go to the hospital to see her."
