Addison Rae Gets Her TikTok Account Back After Ban

TikTok star Addison Rae let her fans know that her account had been temporarily banned Thursday, jokingly tweeting “Well time to get a job” to her almost 5 million followers.

The influencer, who has 85 million followers on TikTok, attached a screen grab of a notification that her account had been banned because of “multiple violations of our Community Guidelines.”

Rae is the third most-followed creator on TikTok, behind Charli D’Amelio and Khaby Lame. Rae joined the platform in 2019, uploading dance videos to popular, trending songs. She had been part of the Hype House, a collaborative TikTok group, and in just a few months, Rae garnered more than 1 million followers on TikTok.

As of Friday morning, the ban on Rae’s account seems to have been lifted.

However, Rae has caused a bit of controversy with her TikTok presence, as she has been accused of cultural appropriation, especially after an appearance on the “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in which she performed a number of popular TikTok dances without crediting the Black creators.

And Rae isn’t just famous on TikTok, as she played the lead role in Netflix’s recently released “He’s All That,” a “She’s All That” reboot, and released her debut single “Obsessed” earlier this year as well.
