Adam Cheng to star in ViuTV's "Psycho Detective" prequel

22 Jun – Veteran singer-actor Adam Cheng is set to star in the upcoming viuTV serial, "Psycho Detective: The Prequel".

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who hasn't filmed any television dramas for the last six years, revealed that he was impressed by ViuTV's sincerity when they approached him for a role in the sequel.

"The filming schedule is very good. It will not be too difficult and I will have an ample time to rest. My plan is not to shoot late at night. Although there are night scenes, there will not be night shifts," he said.

He also admitted to have watched the original series, which was aired last year, and enjoyed it immensely.

When asked about his fee, Adam said that he is satisfied with what was offered to him, stressing again that the most important thing to him was the broadcaster's sincerity.

As to whether he will make a comeback to TVB, Adam, whose last drama with TVB was the 2012 "Master of Play", said that he previously received an offer from TVB, but had to decline due to his obligation to hosting "Sunday Songbird".

However, he is open to the idea of working with the station again in the future.
