Adam Cheng and Michael Tao reunite in "Psycho Detective" prequel

12 Jul – Michael Tao recently admitted that he was delighted upon finding out that he will be working with Adam Cheng once again in the new ViuTV drama, "Psycho Detective: The Prequel".

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who appeared on set of the new drama alongside Adam, shared that it has been many years since they worked together in the 1992 drama, "The Greed of Man", where Michael played the son of Adam's reckless brute character, Ting Hai.

In the upcoming ViuTV drama, Michael plays the role of a Chinese medical practitioner by day who changes into a fighter at night.

"It's not a hard project for me. Since my character does his fighting at night, it's the best," he said.

He also expressed hope that David Siu, another star of "The Greed of Man", will also make a guest appearance on the show so that the three of them could be reunited.

"He was in the original "Psycho Detective", but not in this one. But he is here in spirit," he said.

On the other hand, Adam, who plays the role of a professor of philosophy in the drama, shared that the character is different from his past roles.

On the other hand, when mentioned that the stock market seemed to have recently declined, Adam laughed and said that it has nothing to do with the phenomenon known as the "Ting Hai Effect" – where there is a sudden drop in the stock market whenever Adam is filming a new drama or movie.

"It's the crazy man in the United States who has been messing things up. Nothing to do with me!," he said.
