ABC Buys Female Ensemble Comedy From ‘Faking It’ Creators

ABC has put in development an untitled single-camera comedy from Faking It creators Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov.

Written and executive produced by Goodman and Wolov, the project follows four close friends at different stages in their lives and explores what it means to be a woman in 2016. ABC Studios is the studio.

Goodman and Wolov are best friends who have been writing and performing together for almost 20 years. Their break came in 2002, when Adam Sandler discovered them at the Aspen Comedy Festival. Since then, the prolific duo has sold a number of scripts. They wrote and headlined a WB pilot in 2004, and created MTV’s breakout high-school comedy Faking It, which ran for three seasons. Goodman and Wolov also created the Comedy Central digital series Biatches and recently wrote a semi-autobiographical single-camera comedy for TV Land, to which they were also attached to star. They’re repped by Circle of Confusion and Verve.
