Abby Lee Miller Spotted After Serving Jail Time
After serving eight months in federal prison for fraud charges, Abby Lee Miller has a new lease on life-and a new body to go with it.
The 51-year-old Dance Moms star was photographed heading out to lunch on Thursday just days after being incarcerated, and she appears a lot slimmer than when she starred on the Lifetime reality series.
However, just because she is no longer on the show, doesn't mean she won't self promote her brand. The famed choreographer and dance teacher wore a black "Abby Lee Dance Company" T-shirt to shout out her acclaimed dance school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
On Wednesday, Digital Spy reported that Miller had been released after serving a 366-day prison sentence. She was transferred to a halfway house in the form of the Residential Reentry Center in Long Beach.
In June 2016, Miller pleaded guilty to bankruptcy fraud after being accused of attempting to hide $775,000 of income from Dance Moms, spin-off series Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition and other projects during bankruptcy proceedings.
A source told Entertainment Tonight in January that Miller lost over 100 pounds while in jail after undergoing gastric bypass surgery last April.

The reality star had shared a photo of herself from prison, but deleted it soon after. In the caption for the photo, however, she wrote, "Sometimes in life you make mistakes. I trusted the wrong people and didn’t pay any attention to things I should of. I’m more than sorry for the mistakes I have made."
"My world flipped upside down when I had to enter prison," she continued. "I did so with grace, the stories you read about me been a princess are untrue. I have made friends with both inmates and staff, I’ve tried to better myself, participated in anything offered to me and I am a better person for this experience."
