Aaron Kwok denies expedited in-law's stay application in HK

5 Mar – Aaron Kwok's camp has denied allegations that he used his star privilege to apply an extension for wife Moka Fang's parents to stay in Hong Kong.

As reported on Mingpao, the issue sparked earlier this week, when several people claimed to have seen Moka's parents at the Immigration Department in Wan Chai. Someone alleged that the Fangs were able to get their extension approved immediately through a special request made by Aaron.

Others also claimed that Aaron was worried that his in-laws would have to be quarantined if they were to return to the mainland and would miss his mother's funeral, which prompted him to expedite the process.

When asked about it recently, Aaron's manager Siu Mei responded, "Aaron is currently busy preparing the funeral for his mother. This is just an ordinary application for an extension. Our hope is for Mother Fang to stay in Hong Kong and attend the funeral."

"The immigration staff are friendly and everybody applies for extension in accordance with normal procedures. As for the other rumours, we will not respond to it," she added.

Aaron's mother passed away at home on the 7th of last month.
