1 Nov – No stranger to the local film industry is actor Aaron Aziz who returns to the big screen with a big action role in "Operasi X".

The Sandosh Kesavan thriller lured Aaron to the project as he wanted a chance to work with the veteran stars of the industry who are much respected.

"One of the reasons why I really took on this role was to star alongside Datuk Awie, Datuk Yusof Haslam and Nasir Bilal Khan. They are some of the people I look up to in the scene," said Aaron when met at the premiere of "Operasi X' that was held at mmCineplexes eCurve, recently.

The "KL Gangster" actor also revealed that he was to star in HBO Asia's upcoming epic drama "Grisse", but had to turn down the role of a warrior, due to his wife's health at that time.

In "Operasi X", the 42-year-old Singapore-born Malaysian actor plays a former Assistant Superintendent Police Officer who goes into a life of seclusion on an island after the passing of his friend, Inspector Aman.

However, he is soon approached by two important men from Bukit Aman who manages to track him down and tasks him to lead an operation called "Operasi X", in order to take down a dangerous gang who might have been involved in the conspiracy of his friend's death.

The action thriller also stars Hairul Azreen, Hefny Sahad, Hairi Safwan, Amerul Affendi and Azzahra Ahmad.

"Operasi X" is now showing in cinemas nationwide.
