Are you looking to buy some new makeup? There are so many, almost too many, makeup choices out there. Whether you’re looking for a foundation, concealer, or highlighter, finding that perfect product that works and looks good every time is challenging. So how do you look your best? Here are eight life-changing products the pros can’t get enough of.

Cle de Peau Concealer

A good concealer is a must because we never seem to get enough sleep. Cle de Peau Concealer ($75) brightens the undereye area and is easy to use, according to makeup artist Lisa Ahron, “I’ve been fortunate enough to have this concealer in my kit since I was a wee assistant and it’s still a staple. The smooth textured formula glides under the eyes and over the complexion seamlessly. Not all concealers perform this well in both areas. This little stick works hard to give you coverage all day long while packing in SPF 27 for sun protection.”

Armani Silk Luminous Foundation

Finding a quality foundation that looks natural is difficult for most of us. Fortunately, Ahron has found the perfect one ($69). “Before I carried four different types of foundation in my kit," Ahron says. It Cosmetics CC+ Cream

If you don’t need a full-coverage foundation, Lo suggests It Cosmetics CC+ Cream ($47) as an alternative. “This has been my favorite CC cream for so many years because it has amazing coverage, but still gives a beautiful glow to the skin. I love that it has skincare benefits too.”

Moisturizer can make or break how your makeup looks. That’s why Lo uses Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream ($65). “It is the perfect way to make sure anyone with any skin type has a flawless makeup application because it creates a hydrated base for foundation to evenly layer over the skin.”

TEMPTU S/B Mixing Medium

Do you love a great multi-tasker? So does Terri Bryant, founder of Guide Beauty and celebrity makeup artist. Her go-to is TEMPTU S/B Mixing Medium ($25). “I’m constantly reaching for this in my kit. While technically a mixing medium for sheering out pigments for airbrushing, there are so many ways you’ll use this product by hand. As a makeup base mixed with primer, it weightlessly smooths out fine lines and textured skin. Make sure to pat a little extra to smooth under the eyes.”

She also suggests using this product to turn loose pigment and powder into liquid liner, shadow, blush, or lip stain. Better yet, it can fix makeup mistakes. “Makes a great ‘oops’ eraser. The smallest amount on a small, detail brush can be used to lift mascara that transfers or clean up overdrawn lines without disrupting base makeup.”
