SINGAPORE - Want to show love on Valentine's Day but on a tight budget? Club Rich has got you covered with a special 50% off promotion but with a unique catch.

To enjoy the promotional challenge, customers are encouraged to bring their wife and mistress to the club on 14 February.

This is according to the marketing material posed on posted on the club's Facebook and Instagram pages, which reads, “Simply bring along your wife together with your 小三 ("mistress" in Chinese) to enjoy this promotion”.

The viral post garnered buzz online, getting more than 1.1k shares on Facebook and over 500 likes on Instagram.

Netizens were quick to respond to the post, suggesting gender equality by including women in the discount as well as tagging friends.

"Can wives bring their boyfriends and get 50% off? If married men can do it, married wives can too. Cannot double standard ma", commented English teacher Agnes Yeo.

Others were curious about the closing time of the club on Valentine's Day as well as what forms of identification are required to validate the identity of spouses.

The marketing campaign quickly became a hit online, spurring discussion on further discounts.
