2PM's Chansung stars in Japanese film

8 Aug - 2PM member Hwang Chansung is set to join the cast of the upcoming Japanese film, "Hold Me Tighter Than Anyone" (translated title).

As reported on KStyle, the film is an adaptation of a book of the same name by Fuyuki Shindo, with the script written by Yuki Sakamoto.

The film will star BE:FIRST's Ryouki Miyama and Nogizaka46 member Shiori Kubo, and tells the story of a bookstore owner who suffers from OCD to the extent that he has difficulties even touching his girlfriend.

Chansung, on the other hand, plays the role of Jae-hong, a man who follows his dream of becoming a chef despite his father's urging to work in the family business.

Speaking about the role, the singer stated, "When I received the offer, I was very excited because I thought it would be a work that would be the catalyst for me to continue my activities as an actor in Japan. I was offered a wonderful role, so more than anything, I was filled with the desire to do my best."

The movie is directed by Eiji Uchida of "Midnight Swan" fame.
