2PM's Jun.K enlisting into the military

10 May – 2PM member Jun.K has recently taken a hiatus from showbiz to undergo his military service.

As reported on MK, the news was confirmed by his agency, JYP Entertainment on 8 May, saying, "Jun.K will be enlisting today, and he has requested that it will be kept quiet. We will not be revealing the time and location."

The singer also announced the news in a letter that he wrote himself prior to his enlistment, where he apologised again for his recent DUI.

"As a singer, whose job is to face the public and fans, I have deliberated on how I've come so far. [...] Looking back, I realised that I had to have a clearer sense about my responsibilities and professionalism for my work and my actions."

"[...] I will take all the criticism and condemnation for my wrongdoings. I'll reflect on my actions and work hard to become someone who is not embarrassed of myself and survive," he added.

Back in February, the singer was caught driving under the influence, after he was found to exceed the blood alcohol limit while driving alone along the roads in southern Seoul.
