2NE1 will embark on a world tour
22 Jul - Fans are jumping for joy over news that 2NE1 will be going to meet their fans all around the globe soon.
The news was shared by YG Entertainment's Yang Hyun-suk via YouTube, saying that the label's first ever girl group 2NE1 will be reuniting officially for the first time to embark on a world tour.
"The members of 2NE1 informed me that they would like to hold a concert commemorating their 15th anniversary. So we caught up and happily discussed making it all happen within this year," he said.
Yang revealed that the concert will kick off in early October in Seoul, and that they have already booked venues for shows in Osaka and Tokyo for the end of November and December.
"We're in the process of adjusting schedules for further performances," he added.
Yang said that the concert will be quite special and will resonate with those who grew up listening to 2NE1.
Making their debut in 2009, 2NE1 consists of four members, Park Bom, CL, Dara and Minzy. With songs like "Fire", "I Don't Care" and "I Am the Best" becoming great hits of the time, 2NE1 broke many hearts when they disbanded in 2017.
