Both longtime market-leading brands and rising stars alike delivered hit after hit in 2024, tapping talent that included music megastars, influential retailers, high fashion standouts and more to provide newness to the marketplace.
The list, which was selected by FN’s sneaker editors, was curated with execution, storytelling and reception in mind. Several of the looks either instantly sold out at retail or had a price premium on the resale market.
With the year coming to a close, in no order, here are 26 of the hottest sneaker collaborations — 24 for 2024 and a couple more for good measure.
1. Jae Tips x Saucony Originals ‘To Do List’
After delivering the FNAA Collaboration of the Year in 2023, Jae Tips and Saucony Originals continued to prove in 2024 that they are a perfect pair. Much like their first collab, Jae Tips reimagined Saucony’s lifestyle running sneakers in bright hues for “To Do List,” which featured two colorways of the ProGrid Omni 9 sneaker for adults and matching Shadow 6000s for kids. This collaboration was the first time Jae Tips and Saucony Originals teamed up on shoes for kids.
2. Extra Butter x Brooks Cascadia 18
Brooks and Extra Butter delivered one of the more compelling collaborations of 2024, bringing streetwear style to a functional trail runner. The New York-based boutique’s take on the Cascadia 18 — Brooks’ longest-running trail running franchise — featured eye-catching splash graphics on the upper and was predominantly dressed in blue and gray with an electric green hue on the vamp, outsole and laces.
3. A Ma Maniére x Jordan Brand, Nike and Converse ‘While You Were Sleeping’
To celebrate its 10-year anniversary, A Ma Maniére teamed up with Nike, Jordan Brand and Converse on the six-shoe “While You Were Sleeping” collection. The range featured three Jordan Brand models (Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 39), two Nike looks (Air Force 1, Air Max 95) and the Converse Weapon Low. The six-shoe collection is the second time Nike Inc. worked with a collaborator on its three brands, the first being Virgil Abloh and “The Ten” that released in 2017.

4. Nike KD 17 ‘Producer Pack’
Kevin Durant knows a thing or two when it comes to hip-hop. In the past, the two-time NBA champion has paired his love for rap music — specifically, the masterminds who create the instrumentals — with his Nike signature basketball shoe franchise, and he revisited this concept once again with the KD 17 in 2024. For this year’s “Producer Pack,” Durant teamed up with three of the genre’s best: The Alchemist, Bink! and Metro Boomin.

5. J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 ‘Rio’
J Balvin’s fourth collaboration with Jordan Brand was a sentimental one. The megastar recording artist dressed the iconic Air Jordan 3 predominantly in black leather and added bold Solar Flare and Total Crimson hues to provide contrast. The collaborative look was named after his son, Rio, and was inspired by the stunning sunsets in his hometown Medellín, Colombia.
6. Bad Bunny x Adidas Gazelle Indoor ‘San Juan’
Adidas Originals’ partnership with superstar recording artist Bad Bunny continues to produce hits. Most notably, they teamed up to deliver the Gazelle Indoor “San Juan” in June, a new interpretation of the brand’s classic Gazelle style. The look, which is highlighted by its unique take on the T-toe, celebrates the Noche de San Juan, an annual celebration in his native Puerto Rico on June 23 for the birth of Saint John the Baptist.
7. Kith x Marvel x Asics 85th Anniversary ‘Super Villains’ Collection
For Kith’s third collaboration with Marvel — which included footwear with Asics — the Ronnie Fieg-led brand not only celebrated the iconic superheroes, but it also paid homage to the villains you love to hate. Fieg and Kith reimagined several classic Asics running shoes for the range, including the GT-2160 (Spider-Man and Venom), the GT-2160 (Green Goblin), the Gel-Kayano 14 (Silver Surfer) and the Gel-1130 (Magneto).

8. Action Bronson x New Balance 1906R ‘Rosewater’
Action Bronson, the renaissance man of rap, delivered one of the year’s best collaborations, the New Balance 1906R “Rosewater.” This specific collaboration— one of three on the silhouette that New Balance and Action Bronson released this year — is dressed in several eye-catching hues, including fuchsia, orange, green and blue. And for those in the know, the tongue reads Baklava, a nod to one of the rapper’s many nicknames.
9. Makeway x Nike ‘Party-6000’
Makeway delivered its first-ever Nike collaboration in 2024, and the Toronto retailer’s debut was a good one. The ownership duo of Abby Albino and Shelby Weaver, who also have careers in basketball, tapped into the sport they love for the “Party-6000” collaboration — specifically paying homage to the WNBA and basketball legend Vince Carter. The bold color palette, consisting of white, blue and orange, made the shoe stand out, as well as its premium execution that included elevated leather and 3M reflective hits.
10. Unheardof x Adidas Rivalry Low ‘Building Bridges’
With the “Building Bridges” Adidas Rivalry Low, Unheardof founder Philip Lipschutz shared the third chapter of his story. The collaboration is not only replete with nods to the John A. Roebling Bridge — which spans from Cincinnati to Covington, Ky. — it also connects another place near and dear to him: the Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky.
11. Verdy x Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Visty’
Artist and Girls Don’t Cry founder Verdy invoked his “Visty” plush toy, pictured with an included keychain, for his colorful SB Dunk Low alternating between furry and corduroy paneling. Kids and preschool sizing were made available, and an SB Air Max Ishod accompanied with the same scheme sans (faux) fur.
12. Nina Chanel Abney x Air Jordan 3 ‘Bicoastal’
Two years after her Jordan Brand debut and a year after linking with Timberland, artist Nina Chanel Abney delivered her best footwear collaboration yet with her moss-colored canvas and suede Air Jordan 3. Classic Nike Air branding on the heel takes on a hand-drawn look in chenille, while Abney also became the first artist invited to reimagine the Jumpman.
13. Post Archive Faction x On Cloudmonster 2
On found its biggest breakthrough with sneakerheads by tapping the buzzy, six-year-old Korean menswear label Post Archive Faction. Two monochromatic and minimalist colorways has the Cloudmonster 2 looking sleeker than ever and were joined by running apparel fit for the most esoteric outdoor gear enthusiast.
14. Satisfy Running x Hoka Mafate Speed 4 Lite
Cult running brand Satisfy didn’t just bring two killer “Sulfur” and “Rubber” looks to the Mafate Speed 4, it also worked with Hoka to shed weight on the trail runner and deliver a lacing system offering quicker adjustments.
15. Hidden NY x Asics Gel-NYC
The pipeline from archival Instagram account to real-world product rarely gets better than Hidden NY’s Asics Gel-NYC, which sees the trendy, aughts-inspired shoe get pixelated Tiger stripes and a cheeky “h” logo treatment referencing Photoshop.
16. Miu Miu x New Balance 530 SL
The buzziest collaboration that few could afford, Miu Miu’s take on the New Balance 530 transformed the ‘90s runner into a suede flat with a playful mix of three different types of laces. Another leather mule variant then followed later in the year.
17. Futura x Nike SB Dunk Low
One of Nike SB’s earliest collaborators, Futura made his return to the SB Dunk Low with his signature graffiti style gracing two colorways. One was for the masses while the other, a friends-and-family exclusive, has fetched up to $15,000 on the resale market.
18. Bode x Nike Astrograbber
Bode’s Nike debut brought as much hype and a sense of the personal as expected. While looking back on her father’s high school football career, Emily Bode plucked out an obscure cleat from the ‘70s with variants in either leather or a crochet-like mesh decorated with charms.

19. Salehe Bembury x New Balance 1906R ‘Heat Be Hot’
Salehe Bembury maintained his inter-brand chokehold on the sneaker game with two spins on New Balance’s hit 1906R. The “Magma” pair got an unofficial “Spider-Man” nickname for its blue and red look, and the red, orange and yellow gradient “Lava” edition has fetched some of the highest resale prices of Bembury’s career with sales over the $1,000 mark.
20. Clot x Adidas Gazelle Indoor ‘Linen Khaki’
Clot hasn’t yet hit great heights in hype since decamping from Nike to Adidas in 2024, but it has had a lot of fun in retooling classic models — including this Gazelle Indoor with an espadrille-stitched sole and beach blue glass beads embroidered by hand.
21. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Adidas Superstar ‘Shelltoe’
“Shelltoes” took on a new texture and meaning through the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration on the Adidas Superstar. ‘90s nostalgia isn’t in short supply in the sneaker game, but rarely is it done as well and with such attention to detail, as the shoes even came packaged in bubble packaging like action figures.
22. Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 1000 ‘When Things Were Pure’
New Balance enlisted one of its top collaborators in Joe Freshgoods to revive the 1000 sneaker originally released in 1999. JFG then looked to the time period of 2003 to 2010 for his concept of “When Things Were Pure” and even spoofed a viral sneaker interview from the news for the collaboration’s marketing.
23. Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Canary’
Travis Scott’s bounty of Air Jordan 1 Lows has continued to grow this year, but the “Canary” colorway deviated from his usual drab color scheme by taking on the bright blue and yellow of his Houston high school Elkins. (Note: FN isn’t including Scott’s Jumpman Jack or Nike Zoom Field Jaxx because they’re signature shoes rather than collabs.)
24. A$AP Rocky x Puma Mostro 3D
The true christening of A$AP Rocky and Puma’s partnership, announced last year, came with the release of two distressed Inhale colorways alongside a spraypaint-style Mostro 3D. The latter is a bonkers reimagining of the recently revived sneaker made with resin-based 3D-printing.
25. PaperBoy Paris x New Balance FuelCell Super Comp Elite v4
The best case yet for running becoming the new streetwear has come from PaperBoy Paris, the French restaurant and label, making a super shoe so cool it’s tempting to wear everyday and risk a rolled ankle.
26. Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 RM ‘Grandma’s Driveway’
Nigel Sylvester, the first BMX rider signed to Jordan Brand, was chosen to introduce the world to the Air Jordan 4 RM, short for “restomod.” His two colorways harkened back to his grandmother’s driveway, where he first began riding a tricycle, including one in the precise shade of green from the neighboring fence.
