It’s going to take a lot to top the busy year the Royal Family had in 2018, but it would seem that there’s already plenty on the cards for 2019.

Last year, the royals celebrated the birth of two babies (Prince Louis and Lena Tindall) and two marriages (Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank) as well as Prince Charles’ 70th birthday.

While there will be official engagements and annual royal events, there will also be the arrival of Meghan and Harry’s baby, another wedding and more milestones.

Here’s what’s in store for the Royal Family in 2019, so far.

Kate to ‘launch charity campaign’

The Duchess of Cambridge is believed to be launching her own charity campaign to help disadvantaged children in the early part of this year.

According to The Daily Mail, Kate has brought together experts from academia, education, health and other fields to work on how to help families tackle anti-social behaviour, addiction and mental health.

This will tie in with her work in early years intervention and her current patronages.

Meghan’s first patronages

The Duchess of Sussex will reportedly announce her first patronages as a new member of the Royal Family early this year.

Meghan is apparently keen to work right up until her due date and has been having a number of private meetings with various charities.

Five months after her wedding, Meghan announced her first solo project, supporting a charity community cookbook written by the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen, whose area has been affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.

According to Mail Online, Meghan is keen to ‘focus on women in the developing world’ within her initiatives.

Harry and Meghan’s move

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to move to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor ahead of their baby’s arrival in spring.

Their new country home used to serve as accommodation for junior chefs on the Frogmore Estate and is currently undergoing renovation to turn it back into a single unit.

The couple currently live at the two-bedroom Nottingham Cottage within the grounds of Kensington Palace in London. It has been Harry’s home since 2013 and it’s where he proposed to Meghan, as they prepared a roast chicken dinner.

Meghan and Harry’s baby due

While the due date of Meghan and Harry’s first child has not been made public, Kensington Palace announced back in October that he or she would be born in spring 2019.

This could mean as early as March or as late as June, but royal fans think the baby could come sooner than later. Glimpses of Meghan’s pregnancy bump have prompted speculation that she is further along than previously thought.

Sister-in-law Kate has given birth to all three children at the private Lindo Wing at Paddington’s St Mary’s Hospital, but since Meghan and Harry are set to move to Windsor, they could choose somewhere closer to their new home.

Another royal wedding

Lady Gabriella Windsor, 37, daughter of Prince and Princess of Michael of Kent, will wed her fiancé Mr Thomas Kingston in late spring, according to Hello! magazine.

Buckingham Palace announced the engagement back in September, and the couple are set to marry at St George’s Chapel in Windsor – the same venue as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s weddings.

However, the occasion is set to be more of a private affair for friends and family, with no members of the public invited inside the castle on the day. The nuptials will be paid for by the bride’s parents.

Prince Louis’ First birthday

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s youngest child will celebrate his first birthday on April 23, 2019. Prince Louis has only been seen in public once since his birth – at his christening last July.

Family photos were released to commemorate his grandfather Charles’ 70th birthday in November and we were given another glimpse of the little prince, when the Cambridges released their official Christmas card portrait.

Princess Charlotte starts school

Kate and William’s only daughter will turn four in May and starts school in September. She’s most likely to join her big brother Prince George, five, at private school Thomas’s Battersea.

An autumn tour?

According to Vanity Fair, California-born Meghan and husband Harry are planning a royal tour of the US and Canada in autumn 2019.

The couple had reportedly planned to travel there early this year but as they’re expecting their first child in spring, the overseas visit is said to have been pushed back.

And they’re apparently keen to take their newborn along with them. Cue those adorable tour moments.
