The 12 quickest dog breeds have been revealed, with speedy Greyhounds unsurprisingly taking the top spot. Many dogs love to run on their daily walks, but some are simply faster than others.
According to The Scotsman, other breeds with the need for speed include Afghan Hounds, Vizsla, Dalmatians, and Jack Russell Terriers. If you're looking for furry companion to share your speedy lifestyle with, then these are the breeds to choose (if you can keep up with them).
Speaking about Greyhounds, which were specifically bred with speed in mind, Bill Lambert from The Kennel Club tells us: "The sprinters of the dog world, Greyhounds are gentle and noble dogs that make a great and loyal companion. Despite reportedly being the fastest dog breed they can be surprisingly laid-back too and enjoy a lazy day on the sofa. They can be very independent, but have a soft side too."
