Longing to savour cuisine from the world over but can’t spare the time or money? You’re in luck! World Food Fair 2023 makes its return to Expo this year from 28 Sep to 1 Oct, bringing international favourites right to our doorstep.
Among the loaded cast to turn up on our shores is D’Laksa‘s authentic Penang Asam Laksa (Booth N05), a sweeter variation due to the use of tamarind. The Lai Fun noodles are a mainstay of this Penang dish.
Speaking of mainstays, Everything Good (Booth N19) will also be offering its popular Expo Carrot Cake, cooked fresh with a ‘secret blend of spices’ at the convention centre.
The food fair’s Thailand Pavilion will host King Octopus (Booth F39), which sells generous portions of fried octopus to be savoured with their signature dipping sauce. Then, immerse yourselves in the flavours of the country of smiles with Yaowarat Street Food‘s (Booth N03) Sai Krok Isan (sausage stuffed with pork and rice), Moo Bing and sweet potato balls.
New in town: Sangwoo Street — JUNGGA’s new Korean street food concept with kimbap, tteokbokki & more
Taiwanese food lovers can indulge in 8 Degrees Taiwanese Bistro‘s (Booth N29) crowd-favourite Stewed Pork Belly Rice, as well as S$5 Fried or Grilled King Mushroom at Booth E37.
Drown out your sugar cravings with Durian Garden‘s (Booth G37) Mao Shan Wang at a promotional price of S$55 for their 600g box. Enjoy MSW ice cream for only an additional S$6, a deal limited to 100 customers each day. Stinky Durian Dessert (Booth A21) caters to die-hard MSW fanatics with Stinky Roll (S$27), which are Swiss rolls with 100% MSW durian cream.
Bolstering this delectable spread of international delights are over 100 promotions and discounts exclusive to World Food Fair 2023 and even a lucky draw for those who spend over S$50. Spendthrift visitors will want to pounce on the limited S$0.50 vouchers (to be redeemed at specific booths) distributed at the Information Counter from 3pm as only 100 are available each day.
Stay updated on their socials for more details on participating merchants as more vendors sign up for a spot at the fair. Definitely don’t miss out on this spectacular 4-day event, especially as admission is entirely free!
