10 spooky shows to watch on Netflix this Halloween
Halloween falls on this Saturday and while you may not be able to have a big Halloween party because of restrictions on gathering sizes, you can still create a spooky atmosphere with the many movies and TV shows on Netflix commemorating this creepiest of holidays. Here are some scary and supernatural shows to stream as you celebrate this night of ghosts and monsters. Hubie Halloween
Adam Sandler stars in this creepy comedy-adventure as Hubie Dubois, resident killjoy of his hometown Salem, who thanklessly spends every Halloween making sure the townsfolk celebrate safely and play by the rules. The unlikely hero has to convince the town that the monsters are real when people start disappearing this year, with an escaped criminal on the loose and a mysterious new neighbour.
The Haunting of Bly Manor
It’s the sequel to the 2018 hit series, The Haunting Of Hill House, and the story centres this time on a different family in a different house. Set in 1980s England, a nanny is hired to care for two children at Bly Manor, but centuries of dark secrets of love and loss are waiting to be unearthed.
A Babysitter’s Guide To Monster Hunting
This one is more of an action-adventure fantasy rather than a horror movie. High school freshman Kelly Ferguson (Tamara Smart) is recruited into an international secret society of babysitters who protect kids with special powers from monsters. The story is based on Joe Ballarini's popular scary book series of the same name.
Revenge Of The Pontianak
For a Southeast Asian ghoul, look to this film by Singaporean director Glen Goei, set in 1965 Malaysia, about a spirit that terrorises a village after the man she was in love with in life gets married to another woman.
Vampires vs The Bronx
