Gado & Grill is a Halal-certified takeaway kiosk specialising in an array of Indonesian street food and hawker fare. I recently visited their newest outlet at Sengkang Grand Mall and sampled the Gado–Gado (S$6.80).
It featured pieces of lontong (rice cakes), potato cubes, cabbage, tau kwa, long beans, boiled egg, keropok and peanut gravy. It’s an absolute treat, particularly for those who appreciate the flavours of satay peanut sauce.
I also gave the Nutritious Tempeh (S$3.80 for 3 pieces) a try. It was coated with a light and crispy batter and fried to perfection. The accompanying sambal kicap dip knocked my socks off with its fiery spiciness.
The stall also sells popular crowd favourites such as AyamPenyet (S$7.50) and Bawal Penyet (S$8.50). For a unique option, try the

When I visit, my go-to order is typically the Kenny’s Quarter Meal (S$14.90) or the Kenny’s Half Meal (S$20.90). These meals offer a delightful serving of their flavourful roasted meat accompanied by your choice of 2 sauces: the original brown or black pepper sauce. In addition, you’ll enjoy the added bonus of 2 side dishes and a mouthwatering muffin to complete your satisfying meal.

TSUJIRI is a historical brand from Uji, Kyoto, Japan. It dates back to 1860 when its founder, Riemon Tsuji invested in his own wealth to improve the tea industry. This dessert and tea spot specialises in matcha (green tea) which is known to have numerous health benefits.

I’ve been eating Auntie Anne’s my whole life, so I found it interesting when Pretzel Planet landed at Sengkang Grand Mall in Singapore in March 2023.
Their pretzels are light and crispy on the surface while possessing a chewy and sweet mouthfeel. They come in a plethora of sweet and savoury flavours which will be well-loved by patrons of all ages.
Calling all sweet-tooth maniacs! You can discover their sweet choices including Cookies N Creme (S$4.90), Cinnamon Sugar (S$4.90), Salted Caramel (S$5.50) and Strawberries N Creme (S$4.90). For something more interesting, the S’mores Supreme (S$5.50) showcases a layer of perfectly-torched marshmallow, complemented by a delicate drizzle of luscious chocolate sauce.
If savoury pretzels is something you go for, try their fragrant Garlic Parmesan (S$4.90), Pepperoni (S$5.50), and Mentaiko (S$5.50).
