Back with a fresh new look, Tampines 1 is now fully up and running following a massive S$38 million renovation. With exciting new additions ranging from international brands to local favourites, we’ve narrowed down the must-visit spots for your next trip to the mall!

Here are 10 food places to check out in Tampines 1.

Located on the 5th floor of Tampines 1, Hawkers’ Street boasts 12 stalls offering a diverse range of culinary delights. Vendors include Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand awardees such as Tai Wah Pork Noodle and Tiong Bahru Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice, leaving you spoiled for choice.

Some of my personal favourites from here include the Wholesome Lemak Drumstick Set (S$8.90) from Nikmat Nasi Lemak by Husk, a more affordable subsidiary of HUSK Nasi Lemak. It features a fork-tender drumstick cooked in fragrant lemak atop a bed of fluffy rice, crowned with a sunny-side-up egg.

Another must-try is the flavourful and wok-hei-filled Signature Mee Hoon Kway (S$6.30) from Jiak Song Mee Hoon Kway, run by former MasterChef finalist Aaron Wong. For a healthier option, take advantage of the clean and nourishing Thunder Tea Rice (S$6.80) from Pang’s Hakka Yong Tau Foo.

Featuring three layers of delectable ingredients (hence “san,” meaning “three” in English), each bite in every sandwich delivers a perfect blend of flavours.

Highlight dishes include the Spicy Basil Chicken Udon (S$16), a fusion dish featuring Hoto udon paired with Thai Basil Minced Chicken. For something more traditional yet equally delightful, try the Ebi Yaki Udon (S$16), which reinvents the classic zi char stir fry noodles with Sanuki udon, delivering a flavourful punch with just the right amount of wok hei.

With over 900 stores nationwide in Japan, the brand’s speciality outlets in Singapore serve the same top-tier doughnuts made with premium ingredients from Japan and prepared by expertly trained staff at the Mister Donut Academy in Osaka.

Their must-try signature, the Pon De Ring (S$2.30++), is famous for its soft, chewy, mochi-like texture. They also offer classic favourites like their Yeast Ring Donuts (S$2.30++) and Old Fashioned Donuts (S$2.30++) in a range of flavours, including Glazed, Strawberry, and Chocolate. If you prefer filled doughnuts, don’t miss their Angel Cream (S$2.50), which is just bursting with rich custard cream.

Using authentic matcha from Uji, Kyoto, they achieve a rich and refreshing flavour, showcasing quality and precision in every bite. A crowd favourite, their warabi mochi comes in various flavours, including the signature Matcha (S$6.50++).

Other must-try options include the Soybean (S$6.50++), featuring premium kinako AKA roasted soybean powder, and Black Sesame (S$7.60++). Can’t choose? Go for the Mix and Match set (S$6.50++).
