10 best ‘fancy’ eats in Klang Valley with affordable meals under RM25++

Everyone’s idea of “fancy” dining is a little different. For some, it’s all about Instagram-worthy cafes, while others picture upscale restaurants with towering glass walls. My definition of fancy? It varies. But for this list, I’ve focused on spots with gorgeous vibes, date-night-worthy meals, and prices that won’t break the bank. Sure, they might not tick everyone’s “fancy” box, but trust me — they’re absolutely worth a visit, and affordable.

With that, I present to you my 10 best ‘fancy’ eats in Klang Valley with affordable meals under RM25 per pax. Get ready to makan (and snap some pics)!

1. Oomph Tropika Bukit Jalil

Me and my friends have this little saying whenever we’re heading to this place – “are you ready to get oomph-ed?” And now, dear readers, it’s your turn to get oomph-ed at Oomph

Oomph - Storefront

Tucked inside The Tropika Bukit Jalil — a condo complex integrated with a cosy outdoor lifestyle mall — Oomph welcomes you with a bright, inviting interior decked out in soothing neutral tones of beige and grey.

By day, sunlight streams through the semi-opaque windows, creating a warm, airy vibe. Come evening, the space transforms into an intimate, date-worthy setting. The striking wall of wine bottles — seemingly stretching endlessly — will have your attention the moment you walk in.

Nestled among the shophouses on a bustling road in Petaling Jaya, Tujoh Cafe is a hidden gem for those craving a cosy, retro vibe with a touch of greenery. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, so it’s best to visit outside peak hours — though even after 3pm, it’s still a warzone!
