The 10 best dressed at the 2024 Golden Globes
Last night marked the unofficial start of the 2024 award season as the Golden Globes took place – and if they are anything to go by, it's going to be a very good few months on the red carpet.
There was an excellent turnout of gowns this year, from bridal-inspired fashion to archival highlights, plenty of sequins and more than a few standout silhouettes. Jennifer Aniston proved the power of simplicity in her Little Black Dress, while Carey Mulligan made a case for the fishtail and Hunter Schafer turned heads in her dramatic train. Meanwhile, Rosamund Pike made a case for the red-carpet veil.
Below, we round up our 10 favourite looks from the 2024 Golden Globes. To see every single red-carpet look, head this way.
Greta Lee in Loewe
Always a match made in sartorial heaven, Greta Lee and Loewe delivered one of our favourite looks of the night. The actress wore a custom cream draped dress from the house which featured a low back and tie detail.
Elizabeth Olsen in Vivienne Westwood
Also opting for a bridal-inspired look was Elizabeth Olsen who looked beautiful in a lace panelled gown by Vivienne Westwood, which – of course – included a perfect corset.
Jennifer Aniston in Dolce & Gabbana
Jennifer Aniston kept things classic in a strapless black gown by Dolce and Gabbana, which had beaded scalloped detail on the skirt.
Hunter Schafer in Prada
Hunter Schafer's sensational Prada dress was made for the red carpet – and really came to life as she moved. The pale pink design was made up of a slip dress that was covered in delicate sheer material which trailed behind her as she moved.
Carey Mulligan in vintage Schiaparelli
Making a statement with silhouette was Carey Mulligan who chose a vintage Schiaparelli gown from 1949. The black fishtail dress had additional drama in the form of an embellished bust.
Rosamund Pike in Dior
Rosamund Pike's headdress was one of the highlights of the red carpet. The actress paired her black lace Dior gown with a rather dramatic veil in the same fabric.
Elle Fanning in vintage Balmain
Another vintage favourite came courtesy of Elle Fanning who chose a cream silky number from Balmain's archive, which was adorned with a beautiful bow.
Natalie Portman in Dior
Natalie Portman delivered serious sparkle with her Dior ballgown, which was completely covered in sequins.
Brie Larson in Prada
Another unique look came from Brie Larson, who chose a purple ankle-length design by Prada for the big night. She accessorised with matching pointy pumps and Old Hollywood waves.
Emma Stone in Louis Vuitton
Emma Stone was a big winner on the night, and she was certainly dressed the part. The actress wore a low-cut embellished evening gown by Louis Vuitton with a dramatic slit up the leg.
