Zoie Tam opens up dessert shop
20 Feb – Another Hong Kong actress is joining the dessert business, as Zoie Tam recently launched her own brand, Sweet Artz.
As reported on HK01, the "My Ages Apart" actress, who spoke about her new business venture recently, shared that the shop is selling rice cakes and carrot cakes for the Lunar New Year, and will continue to make various kind of desserts including puffs, pastries and cookies.
"But for now, my goal for the New Year is to meet the target and test the market," she said.
Zoie also revealed that she invested a six-digit sum for the business, which had been in the making for a year.
"I didn't dare invest too much. I think we should make a good decision when we're investing our money," she said.
When asked if her restaurateur boyfriend Enrico helped at all in the establishment of her business, she laughed and responded, "No need for that. I am an independent woman who can rely on myself."
Aside from Zoie, other Hong Kong stars involved in similar business are Sharon Chan (Blesscuit) and Joyce Cheng (Homie Cookies).
