13 Dec – Just as Derek Tsang predicted, his lead actress Zhou Dongyu recently won Best Actress at the International Film Festival & Awards Macao (IFFAM) for her performance in his new movie, "Better Days".
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who was all smiles as she posed with her trophy after accepting it at the event, shared that it was quite exciting to win the said award as she never thought that she would win one for the movie so soon.
"This movie is about bullying in school, so I hope everybody will watch it, pay more attention to the issue and help those in need," she said.
Zhou also stated that she felt fortunate to be able to work with the same team who helmed her previous movie, "Soul Mate" - which also won her two Best Actress accolades in 2016.
On the other hand, the Best Actor accolade went to Wu Xiaoliang for "Wisdom Tooth", while Singaporean director Anthony Chen won Best Director for "Wet Season".
