A cut of the DCEU movie of Justice League by director Zack Snyder appears to be more complete than was first thought, according to the movie's storyboard artist.

Jay Oliva has been discussing the possibility of a Snyder cut with DC fans on social media, and while there's long been an appetite for it, its doubtful whether that could ever happen.

Snyder started principal photography on the movie, which brought together Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg together, in 2016, just a month or two after the release of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

There were reportedly significant changes and re-writes being penned during production, partly due to the poor reception to Dawn of Justice.

But Snyder ended up stepping down from directorial duties during the film's post-production period in 2017, following the death of his daughter Autumn.

Avengers: Assemble director Joss Whedon was then drafted in to finish the movie, adding in some additional footage himself and overseeing extensive reshoots which sent the movie's budget rocketing to a reported $300 million, making it one of the most expensive films ever made.

But the final product was a disappointment to both critics and fans, with the movie ending up losing the studio in the region of $60 million.

As such, fans hope that a Snyder version may have been a better film, and maybe one day it could see the light of day.

A petition even landed online not long after the film’s hit cinemas demanding Warner Bros release it.

Shedding further light on the matter, Oliva explained:

So, in short, that Snyder version of Justice League could potentially be a thing.

Whether Warner Bros would let it be released, however, is another matter.
