Zach Galifianakis felt compelled to call Bradley Cooper and apologise for calling him 'a hot idiot' in the trailer for the Between Two Ferns movie.
In the clip, he's speaking to Jon Hamm, when he says: “Bradley Cooper co-wrote, directed and starred in A Star is Born. Are you hoping that will open doors for other hot idiots?”

Cooper does not feature in the movie, but still, after the trailer aired earlier this month, Galifianakis thought it best to speak to his Hangover co-star.

He told Variety: “There’s something in the trailer and he’s not even in the movie, but I refer to him as a ‘hot idiot’. I called him when I saw the trailer… I was like, ‘I called you a ‘hot idiot.’
“He just laughed. He doesn’t care. He’s good-natured that way. I don’t want to hurt people, but I do want to make them feel weird. There’s a fine line there.”
Cooper has appeared on Between Two Ferns in the past, however, back in 2010 when the show was airing on Funny Or Die. The pair end up physically brawling at the end.
The film version premiered last night in Hollywood, and despite its impressive line-up of stars, filming commenced without any celebrities booked in.
He went on: “I like doing these but to take a sketch and blow it up into an hour and a half narrative, it’s risky.
“We just started filming things. Once we got some guests, people switched their schedules, storylines changed because we were writing on the fly and that’s a tricky thing to do…In the end, it was so much fun to do.”
The web show featured guests including Will Ferrell, Natalie Portman, Ben Stiller, Charlize Theron, Sean Penn, Bruce Willis and Justin Bieber, with Galifianakis asking increasingly awkward questions.
He even interviewed Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
The movie version features appearances from Matthew McConaughey, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chrissy Teigen, Rashida Jones, Peter Dinklage, Tiffany Haddish, Brie Larson and David Letterman.
It lands on Netflix tomorrow.
