Yuna graces the cover of Spotify's EQUAL playlist

3 May – Yuna is elated to find her image on the giant LED in Times Square, New York City to promote Spotify's EQUAL playlist.

On 1 May, the singer posted a photo of her image on the building that was first shared by photographer Aimanness Harun, writing, "I'm on the cover of Spotify's EQUAL playlist highlighting female artists around the world. Check out the EQUAL playlist!"

She also gave a shoutout to Indonesian singer Nadin Amizah whose face was also highlighted in the same Spotify ad.

Nadin, in turn, shared the photo on her Instagram and wrote, "One of the most surreal moment this year is to see my face, as big as a building, broadcasted in New York's Times Square. I have never been there before, but to be the representative of Indonesia for @spotify's Equal Campaign, and to be there alongside so many beautiful and powerful woman around the world, is a dream I've never dared to dream before."

EQUAL, as Nadin explained, is Spotify's campaign to support women in the music industry and to stick up for equal opportunities for female musicians around the world.

The EQUAL playlist for Singapore and Malaysia, where Yuna is the cover, features artistes like Stefanie Sun, Siti Nurhaliza, Dayang Nurfaizah, Misha Omar, Aina Abdul, Linying, Joie Tan, Joanna Dong, and Nabila Razali.
