Oyster cake goes by many monikers. Teochew Meat Puffs, Teochew Oyster Puff, Fuzhou Oyster Cake, UFO – regardless of name variations, this delicious fried snack stuffed full of meat and seafood has a long history in Singapore.

Older folks might fondly remember the snack, easily found from street hawkers, but newer generations have only been recently exposed to it after they appeared in pasar malam markets.

This resurgence has shone a light on the remaining oyster cake stalls hidden in small kopitiams and large hawker centres all around Singapore, which is where Yummy producer Bruce comes in.
