"Young and Dangerous" to begin filming soon

21 Feb - After much postponement, it was revealed that the new instalment of the "Young and Dangerous" franchise is set to begin production soon.

As reported on Mingpao News, the news was shared by one of its original stars, Jordan Chan, who said that he will be joining other "Young and Dangerous" cast members, including lead actor Ekin Cheng and Michael Tse.

However, Jordan stated that unlike the previous movies, this time, it will be a heist movie involving a band of thieves.

The movie, which will begin its principal photography late this month, will also be filming at overseas locations including Japan and Montenegro.

The original 1996 film, based on a popular comic book series named "Teddy Boy", revolves around a group of triad members, led by the righteous Chan Ho Nam.

The success of the movie spun five sequels, several spin-offs and multiple versions, including the highly criticised "Young and Dangerous: Reloaded", starring Him Law.
