9 Aug – Taiwanese singer Yoga Lin recently announced the birth of his baby.
As reported on Epoch Times, the singer announced the good news on social media with a photo of him and wife Kiki Ding as she held their newborn son.
He wrote, "I once thought that if I have a child, I want him to be the most special child in the whole world. But as I was preparing for fatherhood, I realised that all I wanted was for him to be ordinary."
Yoga admitted that as his wife was giving birth to their baby, he was praying that his baby would be like any other children, so that the doctor and nurses would be able to determine his health.
"And at that moment, when I greeted him with both hands; when I first heard him crying to the world, and the exhausted wife also cried, I felt time got slower, with every scene like a book - flipping page by page," he added.
Yoga continued, "The nurse took him from my hands and wiped the body. One by one, clearly and loudly, she counted his fingers and toes to us: "1, 2, 3, 4, 5". I can't help but think: "As long as you are just like most other children..."
"How lucky, thank God, the mother and son are safe! Ordinary is really a lucky one. This is the first lesson I realized as a father. In the hot summer of July, thank you for coming to our lives," he added.
