Yang Mi's "Thank You, Doctor" postpones filming indefinitely

9 Apr – Rumour has it that Yang Mi's new drama, "Thank You, Doctor", which had postponed production earlier due to the spread of COVID-19, has yet to resume filming and may not be doing so in the near future.

As reported on Sin Chew, sources recently claimed that the production was unable to continue shooting - unlike most other studios - since most of the scenes in the drama needed to be filmed in a hospital, which is not conducive to prevention and control.

However, the production company has no intention to build the sets from scratch as it would take time and cost more money.

On 5 April, some netizens broke the news that the "Thank You, Doctor" team has already disbanded, and is expected to reunite in the second half of the year.

There were also reports that Yang's co-star Bai Yu has also returned to Beijing and is preparing for a different drama that he will begin filming in summer, while Yang will begin shooting her new series, "Novoland: Pearl Eclipse".

However, at present, the studio has not officially confirmed any rumours pertaining to the dissolution of the crew.
