Yang Mi and Xu Kai to collaborate in new rom-com
11 Aug – Aside from "Novoland: Pearl Eclipse", it was revealed that Yang Mi will also star in another Tencent drama project - the rom-com series, "She and Her Perfect Husband".
As reported on Sina, the actress who appeared at the press conference announcing the new project on 2 August, revealed that she will be working alongside actor Xu Kai for the first time in the said series, which would be exciting for the both of them.
In the drama, Yang plays attorney Qin Shi, a career woman who finds herself in deep trouble with the partners of her new firm after her brother decided to lie about her marital status in order to help her get hired in Family Law.
On the other hand, Xu will play the role of Yang Hua, who agrees to marry Qin Shi to help her with the lie and for his own selfish reason.
Both stars stated that they are looking forward to working with each other, with Xu adding that the new role is completely opposite to his own personality.
