Yang Mi denies acting like a diva at TIFF premiere
19 Sep – Yang Mi has recently denied allegations that she was acting like a diva at the premiere of her movie, "Baby" at the Toronto International Film Festival recently.
As reported on Mingpao, earlier the Chinese media claimed that the actress only said one word - "Hi" - during the premiere, and was giving a lukewarm response to fans who came to the event.
The media also alleged that Yang also refused to be interviewed and was acting like a diva.
In response, Yang's rep stated that there is no truth to reports saying that she only said "hi", as the actress had an interesting interaction alongside actor Guo Jingfei. They also stressed that Yang answered a lot of questions from the audience after the premiere, and that they have a video to prove it.
Yang's rep revealed that the studio arranged for her to do five media interviews and one official interview throughout the festival, and thus the idea that she had refused any of them was ridiculous.
